Semenggoh Wildlife Centre

Hey there! I'm back here in Kuching once again taking a break from the hectic training here in Terengganu. This time around, I headed for the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre which is a fourty five minute drive from Kuching. Together with a few of my friends, Faris and Xavier we started our journey early that morning. Semenggoh Wildlife Centre The Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is home to the orang utans, which are only found in the rainforest of the Malaysian Borneo (Sarawak and Sabah), Indonesian Borneo (Kalimantan) and North Sumatera. Orang utans is one of the world's largest primates and is considered to be the most intelligent primate species on earth. The word 'orang' in Malay is 'person' whilst 'utan' comes from 'hutan' meaning forest. Thus, orang utan is translated literally as 'person of the forest'. Turtle Alley, Kuala Terengganu

Its been almost a week now since I've been staying in Terengganu. I was detached to the Terengganu base for a few months to complete my course. While I was here, my friends and I went exploring around town.  Hidden in a narrow lane, somewhere in Chinatown is the Turtle Alley. The Turtle Alley is just an ordinary alley which has been beautified and surrounded by artworks made of tiles. Gold Coast Morib

My next destination was to the well-known beach here in Sepang, which is more commonly known as Gold Coast Morib. Located near the airport, the journey to the beach took my friends and I almost an hour to get there. Upon arriving there, we were greeted with the cool refreshing, sea breeze and a amazing view. Seen here is the Gold Coast Morib Resort Chalets built on water can be seen along the end of the beach. These chalets belong to the Gold Coast Morib Resort and is world's first eco-friendly hotel making it an award winning development. The resort here was developed to adapt the cultures of a global village and aims to be an international tourism spot. I-City Shah Alam

Just recently, I got the opportunity to visit the City of Digital Lights also known more commonly as I-City. My friends and I didn't have any problems finding I-City as it is brightly lit up and can be seen from the Federal Highway at night. Even before we got there, we were all very excited. Upon reaching I-City, we were greeted by brightly illuminated, forest man-made trees which were covered with millions of colourful and vibrant LED lights. Penang Toy Museum

This time around, I headed over to Penang for a short trip with my friends. While we were there, we decided to drop by the Toy Museum, which is reputed to be the world's largest toy museum. Toys maybe children's best friend, but walking through the front doors is like stepping back into childhood. Young or old, anyone who steps in the toy museum is very likely to be awed and amazed by the huge collection of items there. The World's Largest Toy Museum Toys and action figures from all kinds of  movies, comic books and anime can be found there. I couldn't stop taking pictures in the toy museum, especially with my favourite action heroes, Ninja Turtles ! I had a really enjoyable time, looking at all the toys here. Chilling out with Leonardo, from the Ninja Turtle I also took the opportunity to pose with my all time super-hero Batman and also the main character from the movie Tomb Raider. My next trip was to Singapore. I had a week off, so I decided to backpack around Singapore. There were a lot of places which I visited there. Therefore, I am going to kick it off by blogging about Universal Studios Singapore (USS) first. Opened in 2010, Universal Studios Singapore consists of 24 movie-themed rides, of which 18 which are specially adapted for the park. Gunung Gading

Whilst I was still in Kuching, I took the opportunity to explore the place even further. This trip, I headed over to the Gunung Gading National Park which was located in Lundu, around an hour plus journey from Kuching. Being overlooked most of the time, Gunung Gading is a great place to go for those who love the outdoors. I made my way here on a Saturday morning with my family. The national park can be a little bit hard to find as the signboards leading to it is kinda small and hidden away. After driving uphill for about 10 minutes we arrived at the entrance of the park.
